Brain injury

Our brain and head injury team has extensive experience of successfully securing compensation for clients with severe brain and head injuries. We are accredited by numerous brain injury charities who recognise our in-depth expertise in bringing successful brain injury claims on behalf of clients whose lives have been irrevocably changed after suffering a head or brain injury.

The brain injury claims team has secured multi-million pound settlements for many clients, both adults and children, throughout the UK, and we are skilled at obtaining interim payments for clients. We are determined to offer the highest standards of client care to the people we represent and the many client testimonials on this site reflect the care that we take to support our clients at every stage of their claim.

Claims for compensation
Leigh Day specialises in compensation claims for clients who have suffered a brain injury or head injury.  Our priority is to ensure that we secure the best outcome for our clients and their families to ensure they have the financial security to meet their future needs and rebuild their lives.  We will guide you step by step through how to make a claim.

Initial consultation
We understand how important and difficult it is to choose a solicitor to represent you or your family.  We offer all our clients a free and confidential initial consultation, so you have the opportunity to ask questions, to understand how we would approach your case and feel reassured of our expertise and professionalism.  All consultations are with one of our partners or senior solicitors who have extensive experience in these types of cases and will be able to provide you with an honest and realistic view on whether there is a case worth investigating.

Visit you at home or at the hospital
We appreciate that it is not always feasible for our clients to visit our offices in London, so we are more than happy to meet you at home, in hospital or a location that is convenient at no cost to you.

No legal jargon
We also aim to explain the process of bringing a brain or spinal injury claim without the legal jargon. We recognise that attending a meeting with lawyers can be daunting, but we endeavour to make all our clients to feel welcome and at ease.  We encourage you to bring a family member or friend to meeting if you feel they would be able to provide you with additional support.

Client service
The thought of a legal case can seem overwhelming, but our solicitors will be there every step of the way to provide you with advice and support at each key decision point.  We will provide you with regular updates on the progress of your case and you will have direct access to your legal team to answer any questions.  A named partner will be responsible for your case and will be actively involved in its day to day management.

Translators
We represent clients from all different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds, so we are sensitive to cultural differences especially when discussing personal medical information.  Language can also sometimes be a barrier to a client’s understanding of their case, so if a family member is unable to assist, we can appoint a translator to help at meetings.  For the translation of legal documentation and medical records, a professional translator will be appointed.
